Terms of Support and Donation for the Digital Scout Program

1. Purpose: These terms govern the support and donation of resources to the Digital Scout Program ("Program") with the goal of empowering underserved communities in Ethiopia and accelerating the country's digital transformation.

2. Eligible Support
  • Financial Contributions: Cash donations in any amount are welcomed.
  • In-Kind Donations:
    • Technology: Laptops, tablets, smartphones, internet modems, routers, etc.
    • Software: Licenses for educational software, cyber security tools, productivity suites, etc.
    • Equipment: Projectors, screens, audio-visual equipment, etc.
    • Technical Support: Pro bono services, expertise, and mentorship in areas such as IT, data analysis, digital marketing, and cyber security.
    • Volunteer Services: Contributions of time and skills by individuals in areas such as training, mentorship, community outreach, and program administration.
3. Eligibility of Donors
  • Individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and other entities are eligible to support the Program.
4. Donation Procedures
  • Financial Contributions: Donations can be made through secure online platforms, bank transfers, or other designated methods.
  • In-Kind Donations: Donors should contact the Program organizers to coordinate the delivery and acceptance of in-kind contributions.
  • Technical Support and Volunteer Services: Interested individuals or organizations should contact the Program organizers to discuss their areas of expertise and how they can contribute.
5. Use of Donations
All donations will be used to support the Program's core activities, including:
  • Scout recruitment, training, and mentorship.
  • Development and maintenance of community digital hubs.
  • Provision of digital literacy training and resources.
  • Implementation of community-based digital solutions.
  • Program administration and evaluation.
6. Transparency and Accountability
  • The Program organizers will maintain transparent and accountable records of all donations received and utilized.
  • Donors will be provided with regular updates on the progress and impact of the Program.
  • Financial statements and impact reports will be made available to the public upon request.
7. Disclaimer
  • The Program organizers reserve the right to decline any donations that do not align with the Program's mission and objectives.
  • The Program organizers are not responsible for any damages or losses incurred by donors as a result of their support for the Program.
